Day 28 of Project 365 - Colours of the Rainbow - Pink

If I was a betting woman I would have said today's picture would have been blue, but dh arrived home this evening with some buns for me and this was one of them. So I had to post it.

Day 27 of Project 365 - Colours of the Rainbow - Orange

I love oranges but hate peeling them. I bought a fruit cutter in Dunnes and you just pop your fruit in and then use the top and it makes lovely quarters - much less messier.

Day 23 of Project 365 - Colours of the Rainbow - Yellow

Shane got his first Disney Teddy back from Hong Kong from his Auntie & Uncle. He loves vibrant colours and loves to look at this fella but at the moment he prefers things that make noise or that he can shove in his mouth.

Day 22 of Project 365 - Colours of the Rainbow

While looking at Shane's mobile yesterday I realised that it has all the colours mentioned in the Colours of the Rainbow Song.

Day 21 of Project 365 - Favourite things

I started this week with a photo of my husband & son and I'm ending it with a picture of my son & I. Words cannot explain how much I love the way he looks at me & the excitement on his face if he's not seen me for a very short while. I love when I'm feeding him and he pops off just to smile up at me and give me a big grin.

Today I passed my old secondary school on the way home from shopping and it shocked me that I had left it 15 years ago. It just doesn't seem that long ago. I couldn't help think about the fact that in 15 years time that my son will be all grown up probably in 3rd year by then. Wonder what kind of looks he'll be giving me then.

Day 20 of Project 365 - Favourite things

So these would be one of my favourite things, I love a treat but I have just discovered that there are 26 ww pro points in each egg or 4 pro points in 3 little segments. I have a really sweet tooth and love something tasty but I'm afraid my little brother might be getting these when he babysit's on Saturday morning.

Day 19 of Project 365 - Favourite things

This is my newest organic calf - he arrived safe and sound with no help early this morning. I love watching them when they are so young particularly the first few hours, standing for the first time, making sure they can latch on ok, making sure that their mum doesn't reject them. Nature is wonderful.  But don't worry I have no sentiment when they are old enough I'm just concerned about what weight and grade they will be and sit back and wait for the cheque.

Day 18 of Project 365 - Favourite things

I love the outdoors and heading down to the farm, these last few days have been lovely. Shane junior and myself headed down along to keep an eye on daddy earlier today.

Day 17 of Project 365 - Favourite things

Our Home, it's one of my favourite things we spent a lot of time changing plans to get it right. Then trying to get planning for it, I can still remember the day we got the notification. Then managing the self build project, It was very rewarding although very time consuming going around sourcing materials, furniture etc. There still is work to be done, especially outside but we will get there.

Day 16 of Project 365 - Favourite things

Here is a picture of some of the key members & players of my local GAA club, for a small club we have had a number of All-Ireland & Munster medals. We have been represented in both Hurling & football by numerous players. We also have a great camogie club. I used to play both camogie & football in my younger years. Now I'm just watch but I love the community feeling of following all the teams from underage right up to our juniors.

Day 14 of Project 365 - Childhood Memories

Here is a picture of my wedding dress, as kids we used to dress up in my mum's one. Nearly 2 years after we got married I still haven't gotten my dress cleaned (hangs head in shame) But I am going to do it now and leave so that some day if I have a baby girl she can dress up in it.

Day 13 of Project 365 - Childhood Memories

While shopping today I came across the Enid Blyton Malory Towers selection of books. I loved reading as a child and read a vast range of books. I bought some new books for Shane today and would hope he reads as much as I did growing up.

Day 12 of Project 365 - Childhood Memories

I was never into dollies as a child, but I had a great teddy bear collection. Most of them were passed onto younger cousins, charity etc over the years but a few survived. I used to worry as a child that my teddies would be cold at night and used to bring them all to bed with me and I had loads of them. Just as well I grew out of that or they would have been under the duvet for the last month constantly.

Here is a mixture of what has survived of mine and some of our son's first collection of bears.

Day 11 of Project 365 - Childhood Memories

We always had an open fire/stove at home and it was always lit. We didn't have OFCH till I was about 10. I love an open fire/stove ever since. We had a stove in our kitchen/dining/living which was the real hub of our house. So when we planing our home I wanted to recreate that with a big open plan living area and this is our stove which has been lit everyday since ds arrived.

Day 10 of Project 365 - Childhood Memories

Some more childhood memories, If we were sick when we were little, our Dad always brought us home Lucozade, we loved it.It was such a treat for us. It was out of the old style glass bottles though and I'm convinced it tasted better then. It's funny Lucozade was the one thing I was able to stick when I had bad morning sickness last year, it actually kept me going for a long time, and both my husband and my Daddy used to keep me stocked up on glass bottles of it.

Day 9 of Project 365 - Childhood Memories

I loved Coco Pops as a child, actually I still do. I used to put loads of milk in the bowel and then I would keep what was left over to drink later as I didn't really like milk. I stored it in a jug once and my mum gave it to visitors thinking it was ordinary milk.

Day 8 of Project 365 - Childhood Memories

So here's something that I'm beginning to use a bit off these days, it's something that reminds me of when I was sick as a child that tasted good and made my siblings and I feel better. I hope it does the same for my darling son.

Day 7 of Project 365 - Resolutions

So for my final resolution that I'll be posting on. This is our spare bedroom and the clothes for our son that don't fit in the wardrobe. The heap closest to us are 6-9 months then the next heap is 9-12 months and the bits on the pillows are 12-18 months. I really have to stop buying clothes for him, that he doesn't need.

Day 6 of Project 365 - Resolutions

Drinking more water is my next resolution, although as you can see from the photo above it won't be from our tap, just as well we always use the brita filter jug. The worst part of drinking extra water is the numerous trips to the loo..

Day 5 of Project 365 - Resolutions

Sleeping more is my fifth resolution. Since our darling soon arrived I haven't slept for more than 6 hours any night and even that is always broken. I could be getting an extra hour or two sleep most nights but I just find it hard to get to sleep after ds goes down for his first sleep of the night. It's beginning to take it's toll on me, so I need to learn how to switch off easier at night and just sleep.

Day 4 of Project 365 - Resolutions

My forth resolution is to get back out waking as often as possible, ds loves a nice walk so that should be motivation enough. Then on the days I can't get out well I have a wii fit that hasn't been used in  a long long time, and various other contraptions that I have purchased over the years that I can use.

Day 3 of Project 365 - Resolutions

Day 3 and onto my next resolution, time management. I hope this year to manage my time effectively, sometimes it can be hard to get everything done since our darling son arrived. It's far too easy spend all day with him even just looking at him when he's sleeping, which means at times things have piled up on us. I don't want this to happen anymore if possible so will make a better effort to get back to my old ways of doing a little bit every day.

Day 2 of Project 365 - Resolutions

So it's the second day of this project and here lies my next resolution, I really need and want to eat more healthily. I won't deprive myself of something nice on occasion but just not as often as it is at the moment.

The cheesecake was very nice though, notice that my dh had nibbled at it while I wan't watching...

Day 1 of Project 365 - Resolutions

So it's the first day and although I took several pictures today I selected this one as it's quite frankly a perfect reflection of what my pictures have comprised of up to now, well certainly in the in the last few months anyway.

I shall of course continue to take endless photos of my two precious Shanes and even post a good few; but I really want to expand what and whom I photograph. So this is my first resolution of the New Year and if this project is to be as successful as I hope well then by the end of the year I hope to have an extensive collection of photographs taken.
