This is my newest organic calf - he arrived safe and sound with no help early this morning. I love watching them when they are so young particularly the first few hours, standing for the first time, making sure they can latch on ok, making sure that their mum doesn't reject them. Nature is wonderful. But don't worry I have no sentiment when they are old enough I'm just concerned about what weight and grade they will be and sit back and wait for the cheque.
I think my downfall is naming them! I could never be a farmer!
